Preparations for the Second Annual Cocktails for the Cure Fundraiser are coming along quite nicely. The food, the fun, the auction, the swag bags, the never empty pink cocktail! And we may even have a DJ! Looks like another fun evening for the girls topped off by the added bonus of raising thousands of dollars for The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Many of you may ask why we selected The Breast Cancer Research Foundation as our charity. There are many outstanding breast cancer fundraising arms and we’ve both donated or participated with a number of them. But when we decided to do our own fundraiser we wanted to be sure as much money as possible went to the program’s causes – not their administration. At the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, more than 85 cents for every dollar donated goes to breast cancer research and awareness programs. That’s pretty impressive!

As a side note, we added the ability to use PayPal this year for those of you who just don’t write checks anymore. If you can’t mail or bring a check with you to the event we encourage you to use this option. Unfortunately, a small percentage of your money will go to PayPal and not the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. We rather you have this as a choice to make it easier to donate, but wanted you to be aware of the deduction.

We couldn’t do this without our friends and sponsors: Sonia Adame, SMC/SC, Carina Hathaway, Patty Gamboa-Harding, Wayne Whitesides, Jill Perisich, Trisha Leuer, the guys at Land Concern, Valerie Hardman and Teresa Moe. Of course, we are still accepting additional silent auction items and assistance. If you’d like to participate as a sponsor or donate an auction item please contact Kendall at kendallc@ambrosiainteriors.com or Jasvina at Jasvina@p11.com.

Finally, if you are a survivor or have friends or loved ones who have been affected by breast cancer we want to know about it. We’d like to do an in memory and celebration wall at the event and most importantly recognize our guests who are survivors. Please send this information to Kendall to be included.

We so look forward to seeing each of you at this year’s event and can’t wait to keep up the good work in raising funds to help find a cure for this terrible disease.

See you soon and much love,

Kendall & Jasvina
